Pixata E-Commerce - Your Product Catalogue

Your product catalogue can be as big or as small as your business. Unlike other e-commerce packages, we do not penalise you for having a large catalogue. You can add, modify or remove products at any time.

You can offer variations in your products - such as a range of colours or sizes - without having to enter each combination as a separate product. You can change a whole range of products in one operation if, for example, your suppliers change the name of one of their colours. You can set one specific size to be on special offer, whilst leaving other sizes at their normal prices. The power to choose is yours.

You can update your product catalogue at any time using our Pixata Data Access Program (PDAP) that installs on your PC (see below for system requirements).

Most e-commerce packages have their administration facilities on the web site. This is highly insecure as it opens the doors for hackers to break into your site and modify your product catalogue. The PDAP is installed onto your own PC, meaning that the world at large does not have access to it. This gives a significantly higher level of security than with web-based administration. The PDAP requires your user name and password, so even if an unauthorised person gains access to your PC, they will still not be able to modify your product catalogue.

The PDAP is very easy to use and allows you to build a product catalogue quickly. It comes with a comprehensive on-line manual, a detailed tutorial that walks you through setting up an on-line shop and has full reporting features so you can see the state of your catalogue, your customer orders, access statistics, etc at any time.

You can add new product categories, add new products, modify details of existing products or make them unavailable, etc. You can set up options for products, such as a range of colours or sizes and have the product price depend on the option chosen.

You can set global options easily from the PDAP. For example, you may want to change your minimum or maximum delivery charges, or the number of products shown on each category page, or any of a number of other options. You can choose how your site looks and change it at any time.
